l.'er Press Association. Uisborne, .March 22. Andrew Sharp's death wa« the result of his hor*e bolting while approaching a trap going in the same direction. The horse swerved, and Sharp was thrown 011 liis head, striking a wheel of the vehicle. .Deceased was a married man with a wife and child living in Dunedin. Gisborne, March 22. A verdict of accidental death, no blame lieing attachable to anyone, was returned in regard to the death Qf Andrew Sharp, traveller for the Phoenix Biscuit anil Confectionery Co. The evidence showed that he was an abstainer from liquor, that the horse got beyond his control as soon as he had got into the saddle at Bruce-s store at Waiohika, and that in overtaking a buggy, It swerved, dislodging the rider, who ' apparently struck the buggv wheel as he fell.
Nelson, March 22. A 1 melancholy death of a bride occurred to-day, namely that of Mrs Jackson, a young Hutt lady of 26. She was formerly a Miss Parsons, and became the wife of Edward Jackson. The young couple recently returned from their honeymoon, and Mrs .Jackson was 'taken ill and succumbed to lieart trouble. Chnstehurch, MareW2. An eight-year bov named Frederick (iourlay was run into by a motor cyclist on the New Brighton Beach this afternoon, and sustained injuries from which lie died shortly afterwards. The cyclist, William Mnorhonse, was practising for the motor races, which are to be held on • rUfc beach to-morrow afternoon, and was travelling at a fast pace, when the boy ran across the track. He was knocked along a distance of about II) yards, during which be bad three ribs broken and a knee splintered, bej sides sustaining other injuries.
