An explosion of a store of dynamite injured 2') workmen in* the Pennsylvania railway tunuei under a river in New Jersey. Toe shock was felt a distance of 00 miles.
NEW TORE VIOLENTLY SHAKEN. 100 TOSS OF EXPLOSIVES. MARVELLOUS ESCAPE OF WORKMEN. ONLY OXE KILLED. Received l, 10.55 London. .March 4. The "Daily ilaiL" states the explosion violently shook the entire area of Greater New Vork. One Italian was killed. Ho dropped some hot ashes on a case of dynamite which igniting spread to the magazine at the mouth of the tunnel containing one hundred tons of explosives. One hundred workmen who were in the tunnel had a marvellous escape. An enormous hole was torn in the ground and dozens of buildings were wrecked.
