Solomon, President of the It ationalists' Party, becoming Minister for Works, Mr Smuts, Colonial Secretary and Minister for Mines, and Mr It:seick, Minister for Lands, Sir Richard Solomon declined to join.

Mr Smuts, in a letter to Mr J. X. Merrimau, warmly acknowledged the support the llet Yolk received from the British community, without which the victory gained would have been impossible.
