THE METHODIST CONFERENCE.

Por Press Association, CiimsTcHuncn, March 4, The Methodist Conference was engaged this morning in the work of its various committees, Prior to luncheon the Conference assembled tor the purpose of hearing an address from the Hon: G. Fowlds, Minister of Education. Mr Jj'owlds received a vory cordial greeting, and was welcomed by the President of the Confercnce. At the representative session, it was decided to divide the Pitt street circuit (Auckland) into three circuits, to be designated Auckland Pitt street' Auckland West, and Auckland East circuits. The division of tho North Shore and Waitara circuits into two circuits each was also resolved upon. A proposal to divide the South Wairai rapa circuit was negatiyed. The l{ey. U. Bull, Connexional Secretary, presented his report on property deeds. He was heartily thanked and reappointed. A Ministerial session was held to confirm the work done in committee last week. The Revs. M, A. It. Pratt, A. J. beamer, 11. J. James and James Wilson were received for ordination, The several Ministers on probation were passed in their several years, and the ltoys. K. 11. Wylie C Blair, and W. G. Masltn, students' at college, were appointed for circuit work.
