SLAUGHTERMEN'S STRIKES.

Per Press Association. | Invebcabgul, March 4 There have been no significant developments in the strike in Southland during tho last few days. The men at Mataura finished with killing special lines for owners to-day and left the works. Tho company intend to spend this week overhauling the machinery. Meantime they say the advertisement for now men is receiving a fair response, and they hope to resume regular killing operations with a new board 011 Monday. The Occau Beach men finished special killing to-night. The Wallacotowu men are still killing for owners on the same conditions, but exJ pect to finish to-morrow morning.
