POISONING FATALITY.

Douglas Mcl'artland, three years of age, a sou of Mr Edward McPartland, manager of the Jlurford Butter Factory, Oarrington road, died on Sunday morning from the effects of sulplmrie acid poisoning. Mr MePartland had occasion to use some sulphuric acid in the factory on Saturday, and when he left the place he put it on a table quite \ safe, as ho thought, aud afterwards camo into town. During his absence his three young children went into the factory, and the youngest one got at the acid and drank it. His mother brought him in to Dr McCleland, who pronounced the case hopeloss, and death look place early on Sunday morning. An inquest will be held at the parents' residence tins afternoon.
