Mnller, of Vienna, .for t: 12 - fiOO, and requesting the bank to pay this sum to Heir Mtiller on demand. At the same time a Hen- Mnller wrote to s.iv that he did not wani the money immediately, and asked that it should be [nit to his credit and a cheque in six instalments before ih'' end of the month. When the landowner called at llr oanl; the extent of the swindle wa.--realised. Susp'cion fell on the clerk, who had resigned a short time before and he was arrested at his parent.-' liou«e just as lw was leaving for Australia His acconiplce was also arrested. Most of thd stolen money was found in their possession.
