Auckland, February 25 The slaughtermen have formed a Union and will make demands in certain directions, including, it is stated, increased wagos for certain work and improved conditions. It is understood, however, that there is little likelihood of a strike.

At the time of the Wellington dispute the manager informed the men that the company would pay the wages fixed au the outcome of the Wellington dispute. The oiler was accepted, and work has gone on without interruption. There sccma no reason to fear a strike.
