At the Harbour Board's meeting today, strong exception was taken to a statement in Mr Mcintosh's prize essay in the Mine, liecord that the output of coal was greatly hindered by bait bars at Uroymouth and Westport. -the Secretary sail that during the past year the bar ut Westport was unworkable on only eight days. It was iurlher pointed out that vessels were continually waiting at Westport owing to the shortage of the coal supply
