DRUIDS' CONFERENCE.

JN kuos, February 18. Tho biennial conference of the District Grand Lodge of Northern New Zealand, U.A.0.E., opened this morning, about (10 delegates being present, representing lodges from North of Auckland to Grcyrnouth. The visiting delegates were welcomed by tho local Druids, and were also received and welcomed by the Mayor and councillors i'und the Hon. G. Trask, Mr lStoomfield, of Auckland, acknowledging the hearty welcome. At the conference nominations were taken for offices, and amendments to rules were considered. A letter was read from the Grand Lodge of Victoria intimating that tho District Grand Lodge would be given a Grand Lodge Charter. The report of the board of management congratulated the Order on its progress, ten lodges having been added to the roll, The balance-sheet showed they had added £2IBO to their fimds.lwhieu now amounted to £9370 (sic). The membership at the end of November was CIOO, an increase of 1112. The total increase iu the lodge funds was expected to bo £9300. There were £3330 to the credit of a speoial levy fund, which meant that with the present membership, one in cyery three levies would be free,
