A PEOBABLE EXPLANATION, Londox, January 27. Knipe and his wife, with their daughter, aged 8, went to England eighteen months ago. A dispute arose over financial matters and a separation took place. ,The father seized the child, and a writ of habeas corpus was secured, but Knipe removed the child to Melbourne, in defiance of the Court. Last September the wife secured the child and took her back to England. The sirl is heiress to a considerable sum on the death of the mother.
