THE ELINGAMITE TREASURE.
THE DIVEH OPTIMISTIC. HOPES TO SECUItE MOST OF IT Per Press Association. Auckland, January 12. Later del ails of the recovery of the Elingamite treasure show that about £I7OO has so far been obtained, and the diver (Harper) expects to recover the greater pari, which amounts in all to over £17,000. He is of opinion that the treasure was never previously located, and says he intends taking down a heavy hammer to break up the heaps of coin, spoons, forks, etc,, bcartho Huddart-I'arkcr brand.
