SUGAR PLANTATION LABOUR
QUEENSLAND'S PROBLEM. Received Rth, 10,57 p.m. Sydney, January S. Owing to the scarcity of suitable labour, the Chamber of Commerce convenes a meeting of sugar growers and other employers of labour to discuss the best means to obtain labour for the canefields. With the exception of a few gangs, the labour available is ot a most inferior description.
