WELLINGTON WOOL SALES.
Per rPess Association. Wellington, December 7. At to-day's wool sales 234 bales wore oflcred. The quality of the wool was somewhat better than in past seasons, There was less Lincoln and more Romnoy. At the time of the last sale, the London freight was three-sixteenths, with live per cent, primage. Now it is a half-penny, with 10 per cent primage. Reckoning this in the calculation, average medium crossbreds brought nearly %d more than at last sale, while fine crossbreds made an advance of one penny. A weakness ot the sale was that a number of bales Yi'ero withdrawn, owing to growers' ideas of value being different to that of buyers. A line of fine crossbreds brought Is 7'/id, others Is 2d, The general range of prices was lis follows; Halfbredslld to Is o%d; s nperfine crossbreds lid to Is o'/ s d; medium, 10!/ a d to 11-J4d; coarse, lOd to lid: infenor, 9%d Jo pieces and bellies, Od to U%dj locks, 3d to od.
