OPENING OF THE INQUEST.
(Per Press Association). Christchurch, December 5. An inquest was opened this afternoon, touching the death of George D > Montalk, who was killed early this morning as a result- of a motor cit collision on the Ricearton road. For, mal evidence of identification was given, and the inquest was adjourned till Monday, December 17th. The, principal witness, and driver of the. car, is at present in the hospital, and will not be out for about ten days.
