MOTOR CAR IN COLLISION.
MAN FATALLY INJURED, Per Press Association. Christchurchj December 5, At one o'clock this morning a motor car containing five men, and driven by Mr T. W. Eelton, ran into a night-cart on the Riccarton-road, l lie car struck the po.'e of the night, cart, which entered the'body of Mr Q. De Montalk, who was sitting with Mr relton on the front seat of the car, Montalk was flung out on to the, road and died in a'few minutes. Felton was also thrown out and in, jured. *
The others were badly shaken, The drivers of the night-cart were uninjured, also the horses, and the, cart, was not damaged at all. Medical aid was secured, and Mt Felton taken to the hospital. The night was clear, and it is difficult to account for the failure of- Mr Felton to see and avoid the cart, which was on its proper side of the road..
