RAILWAY WASH OUTB.
WELLINGTON-NEW PLYMOUTH TRAFFIC INTERRUPTED. (Per Press Association). Wellington, December 4. Heavy rain caused a number of wash-outs along the Manawatu line to-day, with the re-suit that traffic was quite disorganised, and with the exception of the early express there has been 110 through traffic. The mailtram from Now P.ymouth did not pass sou'h of Palmerston. The Eiigi lish mail on tne express will be di-> *■ veiled to the Wairarapa line, arriving, l i tf> morrow. It is hoped that trains will be running again to-morrow..
