WEST'S PICTURES.

Another big house greeted the second exhibition of West's Pictures at the Theatre Koya. on Tuesday night. I tie gem series of the evening treated "Canada as it is," giving 11 surprisingly good idot of tiie siupendousgrain and lumber industries m tiiat country. I'iie "Old World Country," Ho.iaiid, was visited, and the auelience had an opportunity of contrasting life in the two hemispheres. Pictures showing the sardine industry in operation ott tiie coast of Brttany, target practice at sea, grotesque figures at tho "bal masque,' and tho latest living photographs of tiie King and Prince of Wa.ts during his visit to Athens were loudly applauds', as tney deseived, lor they were splendidly pourtl'ayed. A patriotic series catered for tiie heioc sentiment, and the humorous side of the entertainment was quite a feature. The Biescians revived tiie o.d and popular comedy opereita, "The Waterman," to a fuf.y appreciative audience. This is a remarkably clever troupe, whose entertainment is of a thoioughly diverting character. The pictures shown were of a distinctly educative character, and from this as we.l as many oJier standpoints, the entertainment can be confidently recommended.

TO-NGHT. To night patrons will have ail opportunity of seeing the wonders of the international Ex.iLition and Wonder land without- the trouble of trave ling all the way to Chrisichurch.
