A Central Emigration Board, Mr Kinloch Cooke as chairman, with inlluunlial member-, has been formed to encourage desirable persons 10 sett'e in the colonies. It is hoped the Board will be. u-eful to distress committees under the Unemployed Act, and other bodies having- statutory powers relating to emigration. !
