They required the right to work the tramways for 30 years, the Council to have the right then to purchase the undertaking at a valuation. The Counci: was asked to pay the cost of raising, removing, or altering any of the electric light wires that might be necessary for tlie erection of the tramway trolley wires or feeders, to lease ! ae of its sections at a nominal rental for the building of the powerhouse, car-shed, and office; and ti grant two years' time in which to complete arrangements, prepare p'ant and specifications, and submit same to Parliament to obtain an Order-in- | Council. The letter was referred to a committee consisting of the Mayor, and Crs. Wilson, Parker, Browne, and Hutchen to confer t.vith Messrs Roberts and Stokes.
