MASS MEETINGS IN JOHANNESBURG, PUBLICATION OF REPORT DEMANDED. COUNTER-MEETING URGES REPATRIATION. JUDGE BUCKN'ELL'S FINDINGS Received 25th, 5.17 p.m. Johannesburg, November 24. A disorderly mass meeting was held in the Wanderers' Hall, Johannesburg, summoned at the Mayor's instance. A resolution, supported by Archdeacon Furse and the Rev. Burnett, Wesleyan minister, was carried by a majority, demanding publication of Mr Justice Bucknell's report on Chinese labour and the publication of certain of the evidence on which it was based. The Executive of the Transvaal National Association held a countermeeting in the Market Square. It was resolved that the proper remedy of the Chinese troub'e was repatriation on the expiry of the existing contracts.
