GARRISON BAND.

The annual examinations and solo competitona in the Taranaki Garrison Band were held in tne Dull Hall oil Thursday nig'-t. There was a fair attendance ot the genera; public, including the Mayor and Mayoress. Piofessor Hutciicns, of Hawera, acted as judge, and at the conclusion ot the playing informed those prosent, through the Mayor, tn a t the various competitors had come out remarkably wen, particularly those of tne first grade.
