FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. An o d man residing near here was picked up by Constable Hickman lying on the road in a -tate of inebrity, and accommodated with a night - lodgings. In the morning hj was broughi before Mr Guy, J.P., and convicted and discharged. He wa- al-o ordered to pay the costs of some property he had damaged while in the lock-up. The social to wind up the Church of England bazaar on Friday evening was, despite the inclemency of the weather, largely attended, and proved most successful. ExceKHu music was provided by Mr J. Humphries, extras being played by Misses Hickman and Calender and Mr C. Feaver. Mr R. Feaver made an excellent M.C. During the evening refreshments were handed around and greatly appreciated.
