STRANDED ALIENS.
GERMAN CONSUL STRONGLY CRITICISED. REFUSAL TO REPATRIATE A COUNTRYMAN. Received 14th, 12.1 a.m. London, November 13. Ex-Lord Mayor Newton, at the Guildhall, strongly animadverted the German Consul's statement that he had not funds to repatriate a strandcJ German who was unable to speak English but tvou d try to find him work. The mngistrate emphasised that other consulates repatriated their subjects.
