BOXING TOURNAMENT.
TO-NIGHT. It is very gratifying- to note the large number of entries received for th.' boxing- championships to be deckled at the Theatre Royal to-night. New Plymouth seems to bo different f'om the other centres. Here wo have plenty of young men willing <o box, whereas Auckland and Wellington can hardly get entries. On the other hand, they can get crow Yd houses at large prices. New Plymouth people ought to be thankful to have sueh a fine entertainment at j such moderate prices. L c t us hopo that they will avail' themselves 0 f this opportunity and roll up in large numbers. L'rof. j. Stagpoole has been chosen referee, and Mr J. Cody (lournament secretary) has everythingiiv readiness. On account of tha large number of entries, the tournament will start at 8 o'clock sharp.
