Mrs Kennington leaves New Plymouth on Monday next for Christchurch. Site is taking with her a yaluablc collection of Maori curios, which will be exhibited at the Exhibition.
Mr W. Barr, who has been acting as ChicE Clerk in the New Plymouth Public Trust Office for the past three months, returned to the head office, Wellington, this morning. During Mr Barr's stay in the town, he has made a wide circle of friends, by whom his departuro will be regretted. Last night Mr Barr was the recipient of some tangible tokens of his friends' esteem.
Mr M. Kirkbriclc, M.H.R., who has been ill for some time past, has taken a turn for the worse, says a I'resg wire from Auckland, and has beo,n removed to a private hospital, where he is now in a critical condition. Ho is suffering from the
