NEW PLYMOUTH MILITARY BAND.
ANNUAL MEETING.
The annual mcung of the above was hold in the band-room on Friday evening'. Mr J. 11- Quilliam, president, occupied Uie chair. "I'lli' report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —President, Mr J. 11. Quilliam; vice-presidents, .Messrs CIV. Govctt, J. C. George, W. Gordon, E. M. Srnitii, M.H.U., L. M. Monteath, and Wilson; band sergeant, Mr J. Sturmer; librarians, Messrs Allorcy and Griffiths; committee, Messrs Humphries, Griffith, Ward, Sturmey, and James. The following resolution was carried unanimously: "That the band desires to place on record its deep sense of the loss sustained by the death of its first president, the late Mr James Paul, and its sympathy with his bereaved family." A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
