The valuation for improvements or section y, block G, Kapara, was submitted for action in terms of section 74 of "The Land Act, 1X0,2," and th< Uiiaid decided to pay over to the outgoing tenant the amount of valuation, less rent and cost of resumption.
With regard to the valuation for improvements on section 5. block 11, Opaku, it was decided that £7 10/ be charged to the outgoing tenants for the ranger's and Board's inspection, and the remainder will be paid over to them. GENERAL. The assistant ranger reported upon the compliance by Thomas Simmons with the regulations in respect o' section to, block 15, Aria, and the Board decided, tinder the circumstance s. 10 rescind the forfeiture. RANGERS' REPORTS.
J. Banon, chief ranger, reported inspection of Go, holdings. Improvements required, £2051; effected, /,4i,H3; 62 residing, 7 not residing. Two selectors were in default for residence, and two for residence and improvement. E. Toimo, assistant ranger, report cd upon the inspection of 28 holdings, comprising HJ.SSI » aes - Improvements required, £3032; effected. £42 H); 17 resident and 11 non-resi-dent, but none of the whole number were' required to reside. Nine had not effected sufficient improvements. The icports were adopted as satisfactory. Those in default will be notified to explain why the conditions have not been complied with. ABANDONED SECTIONS.
The case of A. Dornbush, a bankrupt, who has abandoned section 73, block 10, Pouatu, ivas considered, and action postponed. NON-COMPLIANCE.
The following selectors who had been notified to show cause for noneomplianee with the Act were dealt witli; —J. H. Roche, section 3, block
2, Heao (forfeiture); T. R. Reynolds, section 15, block 2, Aria (forfeiture) ; A. Barncit, section 1, block 13, Aria (eight months' extension); A. S. White, section 6. block 10, Ohura (satisfactory); F. Willicombe, cociion 7, block 7, Waro (Willicombe desired to transfer to C. C. Nelson, and this was agreed to, subject to the transferor making a declaration as to his want of means, and that he receive by way of consideration no more than the half-year's rent deposited with his application); E. C. liatleyman. section 1, block i, Ngatimaru (deferred); C. V. Shaw, Eeclion 8, block 11, Cape (six months' extension); J. C. MacKenzie, section 13, block 1, Aria (three months' extension). FORFEITURES.
The following improved farm setters were reported to be non-resident: N. Johnson, section 4, block 3, Ohura; J . W. W'indle, section S, block 2, Heao.
The interests of these persons will be declared forfeited.
The rangers reported iiaving resumed possession of the following forteited sections: —Section 7, block 15, Umona; section 4, block 15, Omona; section 8, block 14, Aria. The lands will be re-offered, classed as heavy bush lands. j. C. R. R. McKenzie applied for section 5, block 12. Upper Waitara, to be forfeited, and that he be allowed to select another section elsewhere. —Agreed to. GENERAL. M. Kelly applied for the cemetery reserve, section 25, block 11, Omona, to be added to his holding to enable him to buiid and make sheep yards. —The Board is at present unable u agree to the request. The extension of time to realise granted to the mortgagees of section 5, block i), Upper Waitara, held by S. D. Pope, having expired, and upon representation being made by one mortgagee thai the sale of the properly was almost completed, and that a further extension of time was desirable the Hoard decided to grant two months' extension to enable the tiansfer to be completed.
