NUMBER OF OFFICERS CASHIERED.
Received iCth, 11.55 p.m. London, October 16. The Army Council considered the War Stores Inquiry Commissioners' report and decided thai no action was necessary. In the cases of Centals commanding in South Afiica, after the close of the war, seven officers, including Co.onels Dewar and Swine, have been censured, and four mhers censured and lose varving numbers of steps in senioritv. 'Colonel Morgan and four others are called upon to retire upon such retired pay as iheir services cntiih- them to. Colonel Hipsucll has been called on '.•> renre losing the additional letired pay he would otherwise have received for specia.ly good service. Colonel Lammci is removed from the Army without retiring allowance. Nine warrant officers and 11011-c.m----missioned officers are lo be discharged for misconduct.
