During his term at Midhirst many of his pupils gained scholarships—junior and National—while several of his old pupi's are now certificated teachers in charge of schools under the Taranaki Board. Pohui is 26 miies north-west of Napier, and Mr Reaks leaves almost immediately. A most successful Masonic social was held in the Town Hall on Thursday evening', the large hall being' taxed to its utmost capacity.
