ACCIDENTS TO BATTLESHIPS.
Received 6,12.15 a.m. Los Dos, October 5. H.JI.S. Terrible, before retching Singapore, lost her starboard propeller and eight tfeet of tail shaft. Cruisers escort the battleship homewards. M.M.S Marx, during a storm, touched the bottum near the Needles, and was shaken throughout her length. She reached Torbay in a leaking condition, result ofj loosened rivets, and possibly other slight damage.
AN OLD IRONCLAD SINKS. Received 5, 10 2 p.m. Los don, October 5. After the obsolete ironclad Landrail had been used as a target for an experimental firing train at Portland, she lurched suddenly and sank. Boats retcoed twenty-three. One was drowned.
