CLASSIFICATION OF LAND.
GOVERNMENT DEFINITIONS. (Per Press Association.) Wellington, October 3. Mr McNab to-day gave iho following classification of lands: First-class land is that which is suitable for division into areas not -■xceeding 640 acres, and usually includes either purely agricultural land or mixed agricultural and pastoral country, with an unimproved capital value of ,£1 an acre or over. Second-class land is chat, which is capable only for subdivision into areas exceeding 640 acres, but not over ;oao acres, and generally comprises pastoral- country, the minimum unim proved value of which is 5/ an acre.
