IN CHAMBERS. His Honor Mr Justice Cooper, sitting in Chambers on Friday, granted probate of the will in the estate of late Ed. Thos. Petty to E. T. Petty and W. L. Newman, the oxcutors named in the will ,Mr Quilliam for the executors).
A SETTLEMENT. Mr Samuel announced a settlement ill the ease Janet Helen Gibson (Mr Cap'en) v. Richard lloskin and John I'. O'Sullivan (Mr Barton), claim for possession of sec 32, Block xii. Kaupokonui, 200 acres; £l5O compensation for defendant's breach of covenant and loss of native bush; and rent at the rato of .£45 per annum from Ist July to date of giving' up possession. The defence depended 011 a denial of the damage done. The court resumes at 10 o'clock this morning.
