SUCCESS OF DANYZ VIRUS. Received 25111, n-55 P- m - Sydney, September 25. Sir \V. Lyne has received the report of Dr. Tidswe'l, who was appointed by the Government to assist in carrying out the initial' laboratory experiments with Dr. Danyz' rabbit virus. The result of exhaustive experiments with carnivorous birds, fowls, native small birds, pigeons, sheep, rabbits guinea pigs, and monkeys, Dr . Tidswell reports, is that tlie whole course of the experiments reveal that while causing fatality amongst rabbits, the virus, as far as natural means of infection ate concerned, is remarkably innocuous to other kinds of animals exposed to it. He recommends further experiments on a larger scale on Broughton Island, where preparations have already been made for fully testing the virus under natural conditions.
