(Per Press Association.) Auckland, September 24. Two cases of considerable importance to fruit salesmen were nvn'ioncd in the Police Court this morning. Two well known auctioneers were under summons on charges of having exposed for sale in their auction rooms certain oranges or bananas which were alleged to be unfit for hu mas consumption. Dr. Frengley. District Health Officer, was prosecutor. Mr J. C. Martin, counsel fir accused, suggested that the case should be deferred til! to-morrow. A question of principle was at stake, namely, whether auctioneers were Hab>e. His Worship fixed the hearing of the case for to morrow morning.
