SUPREME COURT.
Per Press Association. Hokitika, September 20. At the Suprpme Court to-day, Rob ert Raymond pleaded guilty to charges of attempted rape and assault at Westport. Frank Cannon pleaded guilty to forging a cheque and ut tering the same at Kumara, and Wm. Harvey, jun., to theft of amalgam from the Progress mine at Rcefton. Ail were remanded for sentence til' next day. Wm. James McPherson was found guilty on a charge of procuring abortion at Greymouth, with a strong recommendation to mercy. James Ma'odenovich was found guilty of burglary and theft at Barnett's. Face, near Dcnniston, and sentence was deferred till Saturday.
