(Our Own Correspondent.) J On Tuesday night a meeting of the loiticultural Society was hcid in the hall, principally for the purpose of riming- a ladies committee. Time was a very good attendance. The Secretary (Mr S. Sefton) read the minutes of the last meeting- which was confirmed. A ladies committee was formed consisting- of Mesdames Judge, Clarke, rung, Reveli, Sefton, Millar, Larking, Coibctt, J. Julian Clo .uer kcasLcrry and Lavaul. Ihe following is the gentlemen's committee, J. Burgess, W . RevcH, t.. Mac Donald, A. Corbett and o. Sefton, (Secretary) with power to add to this number. It was decided to hold the show the first week in December(not November as stated befote). A ca:a'ogue was drawn up, which w-j 1 ! be printed as soon as possible. 1 fiery are several special prizes donated by the following-: Mrs Judge (Small Cakes), Mis Mac t.achlanibest loaf of home made bread), Mrs Reveli (best decorated table), Mi U. Revcll (best bouquet of flowers for girls under 14 years of age). ! Any other donations will be grat'fu ly received. *

A meeting of the Olcato .Druids was held here on Wednesday night. There was not a very large attendance, owing- to it nor being- advertised long- enough. Mr Bovce, on behalf of Mr Rolui'on, who was not able to attend, guve a long- talk on Druidism and its good t.> youne- fellows, the i,se of the lodge was'that 'no other lodge has, etc. There were two members enrolled, and 1 tYink there will be a good few more join be-liu-e very long. After the meeting a very enjoyable evening was spent Hi one way and another. 1 understand that there is another butcher starting in the district.
