; Per Press Association. Weminoton, September 17, A deputation urged on the Minister of Kailways thin morning, the immediate construction of the Opunako-Eltham railway. The Minister said the Government intended devoting itself to linishing the most important lines first before undertaking others. This line would cost 6140,000 to £150,000. As to an offer from Taranaki to find the money, if the Imputation put that offer in writing, the Government wojrld consider the matter.
