THE EXHIBITION ORCHESTRA.

(Per Press Association.) Christchurchj September 17.

Mr Alfred Hill, conductor of tho Exhibition Orchestra, who has just returned from Australia, stated in an interview to-day that the orchestra was to consist of 56 members. Thirty players had been engaged, including New Zealand players, and arrangements were madic for 26 more. The leader of the orchestra was to be Mr Gorge Weston, who led the Cowcm orchestra at Melbourne Exhibition. Mr Cyril Monk, who was just fresh from his successful career in London, was to be deputy-leader. The others included such well known players as Ruhr (horn), Birese (bass), and dive (clarionet).
