At the Newcastle conference the owners submi.ied proposals under which they are prepared to abolish the "dogwatch" in all pits excepting East Greta, Stanfoid aod liertbyr, where special conditious obtain, and also adTance the rule by fompence, which will cany an advance in the price of coal to 10s per ton, from the commencement ol nc\t year.
