CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE CONGRESS. Received 13, 0.32 p.m, London, September 13. The meeting of the Associated Chambers of Commerce at Bristol, Sir W. H. Holland, a Commoner, presiding, declared trade was in a prosperous condition. The atlitudo of the Government towards the Association was very sympathetic, and the Government, were willing to receive suggestions for legis. lation which would prove beneficial to trade, and were willing to assist ill carrying, in the autumn, a Littiited Partnerships Bill, which equally interested capital and labor. '• The Association, while warmly sympathising with the desire for larger Imperial trade resolved by a large majority that they Were unable! to ' recommend a departure froik frte trade, in the absence of practical but welcomed an Imperial Conference to consider the subject.
