(To the Editor.) Sin,—As a visitor to your t'owu, lei trie ask why is it that you have not got an up-to-date ami comfortable theatre ? The other night I ventured out to hemMr Harris, anil on enquiry was shown the building where the eutertainmenl was to talce place. Now, I know that your district is famous for butter and freezing works, but why hold your entertainments in one of the latter £* Wliy not build a proper theatre and make it comfortable and a credit to your fine town ? T'le night was very cold, and the draughts from the pit entiauce and from the side door, which is open to the street, was enough to spoil the pleasure of any show.
