THE HOKITIKA COUNCIL CHARGES.
Per Prc-s Association. llokitika, September 10. The ex-Mayor, Mr Nlandl, in a letter appearing in to-day's local paper, gives ■i full and reasonable explanation of the charges made by the Mayor, Mr Michel, against him at the Borough Council meeting on Friday lust, of having taken away illegally a number jf enrolment papers from the Town Clerk's ollice. The explanation apparently disposes of the allegation of my improper or illegal action having been committed by Mandl, and gives a letailcd account of the whole circumstances.
