The Marton Jockey Club's race meeting commences to day, and wili be concluded to morrow. The acceptances for the fi£t day are large, and at the beginning of thc season ;t is difficult to know what horses are in form ; however, to endeavour to make a selection, I wi'l name the following as likely to fi.l the places : 12.0.—Shorts Handicap, about five furlongs.
