WOOL FIRES COMMISSION.
PBB PRESS AASSOCITION, Wellington, Augtrst 301 The Commission, which is investigating the causes <sf fires on wool ships is, during tEe intervals of hearing evidence, engaged in conducting practical experiments with wool under varying conditions of temperature and moisture, in order to satisfy themselves on some points which are at present obscure. The Commission has a'sa obtained a report as to the fire on the Gothic, and a plan showing where",' the various shipments of wool were stowed. It is understood that the report makes it practically certain that the outbreaks of fire took place in the wool cargo. The Commission will leave for Christchurch on Friday evoning, and hear evidence there cn the following Tuesday.
