TAKANAKI gazetted an INFECTED AREA. Pek Press Association. Wellington, August 30. Practinally the whole of the Tara. naki Land IJistricfc is gazottcd aa an area infected with blackleg. A small block between the Patea river and the • boundary of the Hnvera County is treated less stringently than the remainder in regulations to prevent the spread of the disease. A small portion of the district east of Patea riyer is not included in the infected area. Provision js made lor the compulsory vaccination of cattle, and no young cattle may be removed from infected areas unless they have been vaccinated -v within the preceding twenty-one days.
