MB MESS ASSOCUTIOS. Sidney-, August 27. Two players in separate football matches on Saturday each had a leg fractured. Pbktu, August 27. At the Kalgoorlie races nine out of seventeen starters in a sprint race fcllSereral jockeys were injured, one .seriously. Three riders of falling horses in the Hurdle Bice were also injured. Beefton, August 27. In the football match played yesterday. Globe United v. BeeftoD, R. E. Heslop, of the Beef ton team, was thrown by accident on the back of his head. He was picked up unconscious, and died three hours later. Deceased was secretary of the Beefton Football Club. CHEieTCHcsrn. August 27. The body found at Dytr's Pass on Monday has been identified as that of Wm. Bridges, about 35 years of age, who arrived from England in January hit, .Deceased was an assistant locomotive fitter, bnt was unable to procure work His money became exiuusted, and be pawned his watch and *U his clothes except what he was wearing. Bridger had set off for Dunedin to look for work. Gmtmoitii, August 27. A Chinaman was found dead in a hat at Cockabulla, near Marsden on Sunday, and at an in.juest to-day i Terdict of death from natural causes wa* returned.
