Received 16, 9.50 p.m. Sr»Sßi, August 16. 1b the Assembly Mr Asbton introduced * Bill providing for the creation of * Commission to administer the Lands' Department, the Chief Commissioner to receive £I6OO annually and two others a each. They would have sole control of the Department, but final decimal would rest with- the Minister. Under the Bill, land-agents have to register their charges and be taxable.
