CLOSER SETTLEMENT.
PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION. AsnBUETON, August 15. Mr McLachlan, M.H.K,., has approached the Government, asking that tho Land Purchase Commissioners, who are at present in the district, be instructed to inspect John Withell's property at Ealing, comprising aboul 6000 acres, with a view to acquiring the same for closer settlement.
