RAILWAY CONSTRUCTION.

THE GOVEItNMENT POLICY. Per Press Association. Auhdubtos, August 15. The Hon. Hall-Jones was interviewed to-day regarding the probability of construction of the proposed railway from Temuka or Orari through Geraldme and Arundel and fiuapuna districts to Mount Somcrs being seiiously considered. The Minister said that at present the country had its hands full vrith the larger lines of railways, and that he did not think the Government would be prepared even to consider any branch lines until these works were completed.
